Job Description
This company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. You'll be working within an integrated firm, collaborating with experts across various disciplines to deliver innovative solutions for the life sciences and food and beverage industries.
In this role, you will provide high-level technical support for life sciences projects, overseeing discipline deliverables and budgets. You'll coordinate with internal and external partners, manage multiple tasks, and potentially serve as the primary mechanical contact for clients. The position also offers the chance to mentor junior engineers on HVAC, plant utility, plumbing, and compressed gas systems.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with over 10 years of experience in design. Strong skills in engineering calculations, HVAC, mechanical utility, and plumbing system design are essential, along with a solid understanding of mechanical codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is preferred, as is experience with GMP cleanrooms and biosafety containment.
