Job Description
The company is looking for a Senior Project Architect in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This role involves leading the technical design and documentation for projects, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and sustainability. You'll be integrating design vision with technical solutions, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants, and overseeing the development of contract documents.
Your responsibilities will include mentoring the project team on construction drawings and detailing, resolving technical design issues, and ensuring all work adheres to the company's standards and best practices. You will also lead quality assurance and control processes, manage contract administration tasks like submittals and RFIs, and conduct architectural field observations to ensure construction aligns with the design intent.
To be successful, you'll need advanced knowledge of the National Building Code - Alberta Edition, expertise in construction techniques and systems, and strong experience in contract documentation and administration. Proficiency in Revit is essential, with Rhino/Grasshopper and Bluebeam Revu being preferred. A professional degree in Architecture or a related diploma, along with 10-15+ years of experience including construction site experience in Alberta, is required.
