This role is for a Project Lead in Civil Design, based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The company is looking for someone to take the reins on a major tailings storage facility project. You'll be overseeing the design and planning, managing external consultants, and shaping the long-term strategy for this critical operational asset. You'll be leading the development of annual wall raise designs, providing technical leadership across civil, geotechnical, and water management. This involves ensuring designs are safe, compliant, and practical, while also managing schedules, budgets, and technical risks. Close collaboration with operations and project teams will be key. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and extensive experience in civil infrastructure, mining, or tailings projects are essential. Strong skills in design management, technical governance, and managing consultants are also required. Experience within an owner's team environment and RPEQ accreditation are highly regarded.
