Job Description
The company is looking for a Lead Utilities Project Engineer in Cork, Ireland. This role involves acting as the main expert for utilities systems within the Capital Projects department of a pharmaceutical company. You'll be responsible for developing user requirements and scopes of work, managing design consultants, and reviewing engineering documentation.
You will also prepare bid packages for vendors and contractors, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. This includes managing construction work, ensuring compliance with validation and safety procedures, and overseeing contractor activities. The role also involves developing cost estimates, managing purchase orders, and participating in project closeout activities like Factory and Site Acceptance Tests.
This position requires an engineering qualification and at least ten years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device environments, specifically leading utility-based capital projects. Experience with black and grey utility systems, change management, and managing various suppliers is essential. Strong project and construction management skills, along with the ability to build relationships across departments and with external teams, are key.
