A company in Doha, Qatar is looking for a Partial Discharge Engineer. This role involves hands-on site work, including PD measurement and localization, data collection, and visual inspections. You'll be responsible for implementing safety procedures and quality standards, as well as preparing preliminary reports for analysis. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering and at least ten years of experience in an Electrical Power Utility or Transmission Network. You should have a strong understanding of various PD activities and be proficient with online and offline testing systems, as well as a range of PD measurement instruments. Experience with live substations and high-voltage equipment is essential. This is an opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure maintenance and ensure the reliability of power systems.
