Job Description
This role is for a seasoned Plumbing and Firefighting Design Engineer to lead the design and planning of essential systems for various real estate projects. You'll be responsible for ensuring designs are efficient, compliant with codes, sustainable, and cost-effective, working closely with architects, consultants, and project teams.
Your day-to-day will involve managing the design process for plumbing, water supply, drainage, and firefighting systems. This includes reviewing drawings and calculations, ensuring adherence to standards like NBC and IS Codes, and optimizing designs for functionality and maintenance. You'll also coordinate with different disciplines to resolve clashes and provide technical support during construction.
A key part of the job is ensuring fire and life safety compliance, which means reviewing firefighting layouts and liaising with authorities for approvals. You'll also look for opportunities in value engineering and cost optimization, and help establish design standards. Leading and mentoring a design team will also be part of your responsibilities.
