Job Description
The company is looking for a BIM Coordinator to join their team in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role involves creating and managing digital design models that support the fabrication of facade systems. You'll be the link between shop drawings and 3D models, working closely with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Your day-to-day will include interpreting drawings to determine modeling needs, suggesting ways to improve workflows and data integration, and collaborating with internal departments to validate model outputs like material take-offs. You'll also be responsible for identifying and escalating any design or scope discrepancies. Proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Excel is essential, with experience in curtain wall systems being a plus.
