Job Description
This role is all about diving deep into cost estimation and data analysis for a company involved in aerospace components. You'll be responsible for creating accurate cost estimates based on technical plans and program needs, keeping a close eye on program costs to spot risks and opportunities. You'll also be a key point of contact for cost-related matters within project teams, explaining cost breakdowns and the impact of changes.
Beyond just estimating, there's a strong data science component. You'll develop and manage tools and models to streamline estimating processes, analyze cost and manufacturing data to uncover insights, and design data models. This position is also about driving transparency and performance tracking through data, supporting the company's digital transformation with data-centric solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering or computer science, be comfortable interpreting engineering drawings, and have a grasp of manufacturing processes, especially in aerospace. Proficiency in programming languages like VBA or Python and experience with database systems are important. The company values curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
If you're keen on shaping cost strategies and leveraging data in the aerospace industry, this could be your next step.
