Job Description
The company is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to join their Automation Engineering Group in Penang, Malaysia. This role involves creating detailed 2D and 3D models and drawings for mechanical components and assemblies that support battery development.
You'll be responsible for generating technical drawings, Bills of Materials, and engineering change orders using SolidWorks. This includes revising existing designs to address issues or improve manufacturing, and collaborating closely with mechanical and process engineers to ensure all requirements are met. You'll also work with procurement and other engineering teams, as well as vendors and contractors, while maintaining thorough documentation of the design process.
A technical diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field, along with at least one year of experience in design engineering, is required. Proficiency in SolidWorks and a solid understanding of fundamental engineering principles are essential. Good problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills are also key.
