Job Description
This company is looking for a Junior Mechanical Piping Take-Off Estimator to join their pre-construction team in Etobicoke, Ontario. You'll be learning to measure and quantify materials for industrial, commercial, and institutional projects, working closely with senior estimators.
The role involves using digital estimation tools to take off quantities for piping, fittings, and hangers. You'll also help review tender documents, request quotes from suppliers, and draft requests for information when you spot discrepancies in blueprints.
A diploma or degree in a relevant field, or a mechanical trade qualification, is needed. Some experience in pre-construction estimating or a related technical background is beneficial, as is the ability to read technical drawings and familiarity with takeoff software like Bluebeam or Accubid.
