Job Description
The company is seeking a Construction Inspector/Field Engineer to join their team in New York. This role focuses on heavy civil construction projects, particularly in water, wastewater, and transit infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on tunnel construction. You'll be working on-site, observing and documenting construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans and safety standards.
Your day-to-day will involve assisting senior inspectors and engineers, preparing daily reports, and reviewing contractor documentation. You'll also monitor site materials and help maintain project records using specific systems. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in various site conditions, including potentially wearing personal protective equipment and navigating tight spaces.
A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred, along with 0-5 years of experience in heavy construction, especially inspecting tunnels or pipelines. Familiarity with construction processes, Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary. If you're looking to contribute to significant infrastructure projects, this could be a great fit.
