Job Description
The company is looking for a Project Engineer to join their self-perform Concrete Group in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves assisting with project management and construction supervision, focusing on managing submittals, cost control, reporting, and document control throughout the construction phase.
You'll be involved in tasks like assisting with budgets, maintaining knowledge of current costs, distributing drawings, and responding to bids. The role also includes researching interpretations of drawings, managing RFIs, and tracking submittals to ensure they align with project schedules and specifications.
This position requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent experience, along with a working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, and specifications. Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills are essential, as is familiarity with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
