The company is looking for a Traveling Project Engineer to join their team. This role involves working on-site at various project locations across the country, requiring relocation as needed. You'll be assisting Project Managers to ensure that all work aligns with project plans and specifications. Your responsibilities will include reviewing shop drawings and submittals, assessing plans for value and constructability, and communicating any inconsistencies to the architect. You'll also help identify cost-saving methods, attend and document project meetings, and prepare progress reports. Additionally, you'll support bidding processes, develop scopes of work, and assist in updating project schedules. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with at least one year of experience with a commercial general contractor or a comparable internship. Strong written and oral communication skills, along with proficiency in Word and Excel, are essential. The ability to read blueprints, understand safety requirements, and adapt to changing project needs is also key.
