Job Description
The company is looking for a Technician in Practical Work - Architecture to join their team in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. This role involves supporting teachers and students in practical architectural courses, both manual and computer-based. You'll be involved in managing labs, workshops, equipment, and software, ensuring a safe and functional learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with student projects, maintaining and troubleshooting specialized equipment like 3D printers and laser cutters, and managing a material library. You'll also help with budget tracking, ordering supplies, and potentially updating departmental media. Experience with CAD/BIM software and digital template development would be beneficial.
This is a full-time replacement position until August 31, 2027, or the return of the incumbent. If you have a DEC in a relevant field and enjoy a hands-on support role in an educational setting, this could be a great fit.
