Job Description
The company is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their Sewers Design Branch in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This role involves engineering design, project management, and contract management for sewer infrastructure projects. You'll also be involved in establishing sewer requirements for new developments and investigating existing system issues.
You'll be responsible for completing cost-effective sewer infrastructure designs, managing capital projects, and performing field reviews to ensure compliance with standards. The position also requires reviewing designs, scheduling projects, and investigating storm events and flooding. You'll also review development applications for sewer infrastructure needs and liaise with various stakeholders.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 0-2 years of experience in municipal civil infrastructure design. Experience with hydraulics, hydrology, and rainwater management is beneficial, as is proficiency in software like PCSWMM, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD. Registration as an Engineer-In-Training or Professional Engineer in British Columbia is required.
