Job Description
The company is looking for a Virtual Design and Construction Engineer to join their team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves developing and managing digital models throughout the construction lifecycle, from design coordination to field use. You'll be responsible for producing and maintaining 3D models, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring models meet project requirements.
You'll also play a key part in refining the company's BIM capabilities, providing training, and supporting field engineers with data for layout and survey equipment. This includes working with point cloud and UAV data, preparing models for AR/VR applications, and creating visualizations for project pursuits and safety planning. The role also involves researching and implementing new virtual construction technologies and assisting subcontractors with VDC coordination.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction, and 0-3 years of experience in virtual construction, ideally within commercial construction. Experience in producing 3D models and 2D construction documentation is essential.
