Job Description
The company is looking for an Architectural Technologist for an 18-month contract in Edmonton, Alberta. This role involves handling design, drafting, and production tasks, as well as coordinating permit and architectural approval applications. You'll be involved in improving existing products and acting as a point of contact for various internal and external partners.
You'll be responsible for managing daily production workloads to meet timelines, updating drawings, and maintaining CAD/Revit standards. This position also requires liaising with sales, construction, and consultants on design requirements, and reviewing construction issues as they arise. Keeping up-to-date with building codes and industry changes is also a key part of the role.
The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Architectural Technologies, over 5 years of experience in new home construction, and a strong understanding of Alberta building codes. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Revit is essential, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team is also important.
