Job Description
The company is looking for an experienced Construction Economist to join their team in Grenoble. This role involves managing the financial aspects of construction projects from the initial feasibility stages right through to the final works contracts. You'll be responsible for estimating costs, proposing cost-saving solutions, and preparing detailed quantity take-offs for all building trades, excluding technical services.
You will also be tasked with drafting tender documents, analyzing bids, and negotiating with contractors. A key part of the role includes maintaining a robust database of materials and prices, staying updated on new materials and regulations, and overseeing the execution phase of construction sites. This involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, engineers, and architects, as well as managing site meetings, progress, budgets, and administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will have a technical background (minimum Bac+2) with at least three years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an architecture firm or engineering office. Proficiency in Revit and the Microsoft Office suite is required, along with a strong understanding of relevant building standards and regulations. Excellent written communication skills and a good command of French grammar are essential.
