Job Description
The company is looking for a BIM Coordinator specializing in plumbing and piping to join their Mechanical team in Champlin, Minnesota. This role involves managing BIM models for Virtual Design & Construction projects, focusing on coordination, and producing installation and fabrication drawings.
You'll be responsible for setting up coordinated BIM models using company templates, modeling mechanical plumbing and piping systems to ensure a complete virtual installation, and creating field installation and fabrication spool drawings. A key part of the job is collaborating with other BIM coordinators and reviewing project documents to ensure the VDC model is comprehensive and coordinated, proactively identifying and helping resolve issues.
The position also includes a secondary role in maintaining and enhancing the company's CAD infrastructure, including file organization, custom support files, and model content. This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical degree, at least five years of experience in the mechanical industry, and two years of experience with Revit and AutoCAD, who is a proactive problem-solver and organized.
