Job Description
This company is looking for a BIM Coordinator to join their team in Greenville, South Carolina. You'll be focused on coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Building Information Modeling (BIM) activities for industrial construction projects. Your work will be key in ensuring accurate digital coordination of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems, leading to better design accuracy and smoother teamwork among different project groups.
In this role, you will lead the coordination of MEP BIM models, manage BIM software and processes to keep things consistent, and integrate MEP models with other project models for overall coordination. You'll also be responsible for clash detection and resolution for MEP systems using Navisworks, making sure models are accurate and constructible. Collaboration with project managers will be important to align MEP design with construction schedules.
To be successful, you should have 3-5 years of experience as a BIM Coordinator with a strong MEP background, advanced skills in Revit MEP, and a good understanding of Navisworks for clash detection. Familiarity with HVAC and plumbing design principles, along with experience in industrial construction or large-scale commercial MEP coordination, is also needed. Strong communication and coordination abilities are essential.
