This role is for a seasoned Building Structure Technician in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. You'll be involved in designing and drafting building structures using steel, reinforced concrete, and timber framing. This includes preparing sketches, coordinating with other disciplines, estimating project costs, and conducting site surveys and supervision. A significant part of your role will also focus on BIM management. You'll help implement BIM innovations, manage the BIM platform, develop and oversee structural modeling strategies, and create project-specific models and families. You'll ensure modeling compliance, track BIM progress, and provide support and training to technicians and engineers. The ideal candidate has a DEC in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with at least 8 years of relevant experience in an engineering consulting firm. Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks is essential, and experience with ACC, Dynamo, and Python is a plus. Strong organizational skills, initiative, and attention to detail are key.
