Job Description
This role is for a Distribution Drafter with experience in overhead and underground distribution facilities, working with voltages from 4 KV to 38 KV. You'll be preparing and reviewing construction sketches, performing calculations for voltage drop and cable pulling, and creating bills of material and cost estimates. The position also involves supporting preliminary project scoping, conducting field work when necessary, and planning modifications to the system.
You will also be responsible for overseeing complex tasks, providing construction support, and interacting with clients. This opportunity requires an Associate's degree in a design-related field or a 4-year non-engineering degree, along with at least three years of experience in electric utility distribution. Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and PoleForeman is essential, as is familiarity with codes like NESC and NEC.
