Job Description
The company is looking for a Senior Draftsman with a focus on Electrical aspects for substations. This role involves creating detailed drawings for both AIS and GIS substations, demonstrating a strong understanding of Extra High Voltage (EHV) equipment, structures, and layouts. You'll be responsible for general arrangement drawings, single-line diagrams for various voltage levels, and electrical layout plans.
Your expertise will extend to preparing drawings for erection, earthing, lightning protection, foundations, and cable trenches. You'll also handle cable schedules, quantity estimations, panel arrangements, and lighting and conduit layouts. Coordination with civil and mechanical drawings, along with an awareness of ANSI and IEC codes for substation clearances, is essential.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must, with experience in BIM 360 and Revit being highly beneficial. Strong skills in MS Word and Excel, and familiarity with Dialux for lighting design, are also required. A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical engineering, along with an AutoCAD certification, is necessary.
