Job Description
This role involves creating and updating electrical one-line diagrams for a manufacturing plant's power distribution systems, primarily focusing on 480V and below. You'll be using AutoCAD Electrical to ensure all documentation accurately reflects current plant conditions, supporting maintenance, engineering, and safety initiatives.
Your day-to-day will include drafting new diagrams, modernizing legacy ones, and verifying their accuracy through plant walkdowns. You'll also manage drawing revisions, maintain symbol libraries, and collaborate closely with electrical engineers and maintenance teams to capture equipment changes. A key part of the job is supporting arc flash hazard analysis by keeping diagrams up-to-date with equipment ratings and settings.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience with AutoCAD Electrical, specifically in creating and maintaining electrical one-line diagrams. Familiarity with 480V distribution equipment and a working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E standards are essential. Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret technical documentation are crucial for success in this role.
If you're looking to apply your drafting skills in a hands-on industrial environment, this could be a great fit.
