Job Description
The company is looking for a Drafting Technician III to join their Engineering department in Ridgeland, Mississippi. This role involves creating detailed technical drawings and documentation for substation projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
You'll be responsible for preparing various substation design drawings, including general arrangements, one-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, and wiring diagrams. You'll also develop new drawings from existing templates, work closely with engineers to assemble drawing packages, and coordinate design efforts with other disciplines.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in CAD/Drafting or a related field, or relevant CAD certifications, along with at least 3 years of experience in electrical drafting. Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation is essential, as is the ability to read and interpret civil engineering plans and specifications. Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills are also important.
