The company in Glendale, California is looking for a Civil Drafter 1 to join their Architecture and Engineering department. This role involves using AutoCAD to create and manage architectural and engineering designs, drawings, and technical documents for various projects. You'll be responsible for setting up sheets, scaling, dimensioning, layering, and ensuring drawings meet project specifications. You will also be involved in identifying and organizing drawing sets, producing plans, sections, elevations, and details, and coordinating with outside consultants. The position requires a good understanding of civil design principles, including grading plans and basic hydrology, as well as the ability to prepare sales maps and process property reservations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of full-time AutoCAD and/or Revit/Civil3D experience, along with proficiency in general office software. Experience with 3D rendering software and a basic understanding of construction document layout are also important.
