Job Description
The company is looking for an experienced MEP Draftsman to join their team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This role involves preparing and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting drawings for construction projects. You'll be working closely with engineers and project teams to ensure drawings are accurate and delivered on time.
You'll be responsible for creating detailed MEP shop drawings and coordination drawings, developing layouts according to project needs, and revising drawings based on site instructions and engineering feedback. A key part of the role is coordinating with other disciplines to prevent design conflicts and ensuring all drawings meet project specifications and local regulations.
To be successful, you'll need a Diploma or ITI in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman on construction projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with Revit MEP knowledge being a plus. A solid understanding of MEP systems, construction practices, and the ability to interpret technical specifications are also important.
