Job Description
The company is looking for a SW Drafting Technician in Dixon, California. This role involves creating detailed construction and fabrication drawings for marina and dock projects, ensuring they meet company standards and design specifications. You'll use your knowledge of engineering practices and materials to prepare plans from sketches and notes.
A key part of the job includes performing flotation calculations for dock systems and creating fabrication details based on these calculations to achieve the designed freeboard. You'll also manage project files and collaborate with departments and vendors to procure necessary goods and services.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree or equivalent, at least three years of related experience, and be proficient in AutoCAD. Experience with 3D drafting software like Solidworks or AutoCAD Inventor is important, with Solidworks being a plus. Strong skills in MS Office and Windows are also required.
