Job Description
This company is looking for a Draftsperson to join their team in Torbay, Newfoundland and Labrador. You'll be responsible for creating accurate and detailed drawings that are essential for successful fabrication and construction projects. This role involves interpreting preliminary data, field notes, and sketches to produce precise drawings using CAD software, ensuring they meet company standards.
You will work closely with the Project Manager to plan and coordinate drawing deliverables, including shop drawings for fabrication. A key part of the job is communicating effectively with other teams to ensure clarity and accuracy throughout the drafting process. You'll also use software to optimize material usage and contribute to continuous improvement in drafting processes.
The ideal candidate will have a technical diploma or engineering degree with at least three years of experience in civil/structural engineering, particularly on large industrial projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with nesting components for material optimization are important. You should be comfortable working independently and have strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
