The company is looking for a Geotechnical Drafter with a specialization in tunnels. This role involves translating geotechnical and engineering data into technical drawings and documents essential for the design, construction, and monitoring of tunnels. The primary responsibility is to create detailed tunnel plans, including layouts, longitudinal profiles, cross-sections, and construction specifics. You will be expected to accurately depict geological and geotechnical information such as rock types, geological boundaries, faults, fractures, water tables, boreholes, and ground parameters. Additionally, the role requires illustrating support systems like rock bolts, steel ribs, shotcrete, micropile umbrellas, and other structural elements. You will also represent excavation phases, construction methods, progress, and sequences. While you will prepare drawings based on engineers' calculations, you will not be performing the structural or geotechnical calculations yourself. The ability to update drawings to reflect as-built conditions and site modifications is also key. If you have experience as a drafter in tunnel projects, this could be a great fit.
