The company is looking for a Draftsperson IV to join their Water Services Department in Burnaby, British Columbia. This role involves preparing and delivering engineering drawings for various facilities, including water and wastewater systems. You'll be working with engineering and CAD/BIM teams, handling assignments from preliminary design to final records drawings. This position requires a technically skilled CAD/BIM professional with experience in infrastructure design, particularly civil and mechanical drawings. Proficiency with tools like Autodesk Revit is essential, along with a strong understanding of drafting standards and the water/wastewater industry. You'll be responsible for technical drafting, design work, preparing plans, estimates, and bills of material, and occasionally assisting with field surveys. The role also includes checking contractor shop drawings and as-constructed information, coordinating drafting work on larger projects, and liaising with engineers and consultants. Some supervisory responsibility for subordinate draftspersons is also part of the job.
