Job Description
The company is looking for a BIM Detailer to join their team in Lubbock, Texas. This role involves supporting BIM Modelers on large-scale data center projects, helping to create shop drawings, and generating Bills of Materials. You'll be annotating existing BIM models and ensuring designs are constructible, working closely with modelers to resolve clashes and conflicts.
Your responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-builts for field teams, as well as supporting prefabrication efforts. You'll also help maintain BIM project files and ensure compliance with project standards and quality guidelines. Effective communication with BIM Modelers is key to ensuring the models accurately reflect real-world installation conditions.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least two years of experience in BIM modeling or detailing within electrical construction, ideally with mission-critical or data center project experience. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is essential, along with a solid understanding of electrical systems and constructability. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to interpret construction documents are also important.
