Job Description
The company is looking for a Mechanical Drafter to join their team in Brossard, Quebec, Canada. This role involves supporting the design and detailing of mechanical auxiliary systems, with a strong emphasis on 3D modeling and creating piping drawings for water, oil, and air systems.
You'll be working closely with engineers and project teams to develop accurate 3D models and produce fabrication and installation drawings for auxiliary piping systems used in power generation and industrial settings. This includes creating detailed drawings, layouts, and assembly drawings, and updating them based on feedback.
To be successful, you'll need a diploma or associate degree in a related field and at least 3 years of experience in mechanical drafting and piping design. Proficiency in 3D CAD software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD Plant 3D is essential, along with a solid understanding of piping systems and the ability to interpret P&IDs and engineering specifications.
