Job Description
This role is for a Specialist in Construction Design, focusing on HVAC systems, based in St. Thomas, Ontario. The position involves leading and coordinating all design activities for Battery Specific Infrastructure, ensuring alignment with global standards and project timelines. You'll be responsible for managing design meetings, consolidating feedback from various teams, and developing tender documentation.
Your work will include governing the design change process, evaluating impacts, and tracking design deliverables for quality assurance. A key part of this role is overseeing the 3D model for BIM coordination, driving the resolution of technical conflicts, and optimizing constructibility. You will also lead value engineering workshops and contribute to continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in HVAC Engineering or a related field, with 3-7 years of experience in construction project management. Strong knowledge of HVAC and process exhaust systems, including cleanroom environments, is essential. Experience with BIM tools is beneficial.
