Job Description
The company is looking for an intermediate designer in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, to work on mining tailings management and geotechnical projects. This role involves supporting design activities using established procedures, integrating digital solutions into project processes, and contributing to the research and development of technical solutions.
The position requires participation in the planning, design, and execution of construction and rehabilitation projects for mining sites and geo-structures. You will work on projects throughout their lifecycle, from planning to rehabilitation, and help maintain digital tools by identifying and suggesting corrections for software defects.
You will also be responsible for quality assurance testing, producing accurate reports by collecting data from various sources, and ensuring design plans meet quality standards and regulations. The role emphasizes developing a strong understanding of internal policies and industry standards.
If you have a civil engineering technician background or equivalent experience and at least 5 years in civil engineering, geotechnics, mining tailings management, transportation, or hydrology, this could be a great fit.
