Job Description
This company is looking for a Site Engineer II to join their Data Center Operations team in Richardson, Texas. You'll be responsible for the daily operations of mission-critical infrastructure, including generators, UPS, HVAC, and fire/life safety systems. This role involves creating and updating operating procedures, managing change requests, reporting incidents, and performing maintenance and repairs to ensure maximum uptime.
You'll gain a deep understanding of facility layouts, MEP systems, and equipment sequences of operations. The position requires hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems, responding to unplanned events, and completing inspections. You'll also be involved in developing or improving standard operating procedures and supporting accreditation initiatives.
The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in mission-critical facilities, with hands-on electrical or mechanical skills. A strong knowledge of UPS and cooling systems, infrastructure redundancy, and energy efficiency principles is essential. You should also have excellent communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CMMS/DCIM systems.
