Job Description
This role is for an Intermediate/Senior Airport Design Engineer in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. The company is looking for someone to lead airside civil infrastructure projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring compliance with aviation standards. You'll be involved in technical analysis, design development using specialized software, and assessing alternative solutions for feasibility and constructability.
The position also involves project management, acting as a key client interface, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create integrated project solutions. There's an emphasis on innovation and the use of AI-enabled tools to enhance design processes. You'll also mentor junior staff and contribute to business development efforts.
To be successful, you'll need a Professional Engineer license, a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and at least 5 years of experience in airport engineering or civil design. Proven experience with Canadian aerodrome standards and familiarity with various airport types are essential. Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills are also required.
