This company is looking for a Solar Design Engineer to handle the design and engineering of small rooftop solar PV systems, mainly for residential and small commercial clients. The role involves translating site information and customer needs into practical, cost-effective designs, working closely with sales, project, and procurement teams. The engineer will be responsible for designing systems from 1 kWp to 100 kWp, selecting components, preparing layouts and single-line diagrams, and performing necessary calculations. This includes optimizing module placement, reviewing site data, and identifying technical constraints. The position also requires providing technical input for proposals, preparing Bills of Quantities, and supporting installation teams with design documentation. Compliance with DISCOM, CEA, and MNRE regulations is also a key aspect. Candidates should have a good understanding of rooftop solar PV systems, including component selection, sizing, and grid connectivity. Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of PVsyst or similar software, along with MS Excel, are essential. Experience with residential or small C&I rooftop projects and DISCOM documentation is preferred. A B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or Renewable Energy is required.
