Job Description
The company is looking for a Senior Project Engineer specializing in photovoltaics. This role involves assessing the technical feasibility of solar projects, including new builds, revamps, and repowering. You'll be responsible for the technical design and planning of these projects, creating electrical system designs, and selecting appropriate components and materials.
Your work will span from the initial feasibility study through to commissioning, with some on-site involvement. You'll also manage grid connections, ensure compliance with regulations, and handle certification processes. Analyzing performance issues and developing optimization strategies will be key, as will coordinating with various internal teams, grid operators, and external service providers.
A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required, along with practical experience in PV system planning and development. Strong knowledge of VDE-AR-N-41XX standards and medium/high voltage systems is essential, as is proficiency in AutoCAD and PV simulation software like PVSyst or PVCase. The role requires flexibility for travel within Germany and good command of both German and English.
