Job Description
A Building Science Engineer is needed to join a team focused on high-performance building envelopes and systems. This role involves leading the design, analysis, and investigation of building envelope systems for various project types. You'll be using engineering principles and specialized software to understand heat flow, air movement, and moisture within building assemblies.
The position also includes conducting forensic investigations of building envelope failures and performing condition assessments of existing buildings. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and owners, and prepare engineering drawings and specifications. Mentoring junior staff is also part of the responsibilities.
This opportunity is for someone with a degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering and at least five years of experience in building science or envelope consulting. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required, along with experience in software like HAM Toolbox, WUFI, THERM, and eQuest.
