Job Description
The company is looking for an Engineer-BIW to join their R&D team in Delhi, India. This role involves the complete development of vehicle body structures, from concept to production. You'll be responsible for BIW layout, ensuring designs are manufacturable, and managing compliance with various targets.
You will work on developing underbody, side body, roof structures, doors, and reinforcements, focusing on structural integrity, crashworthiness, and weight optimization. The position requires close collaboration with CAE, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure robust BIW development.
Key aspects of the role include preparing BIW layouts, applying GD&T, and ensuring designs meet DFM, DFA, and DFS principles. A good understanding of automotive sheet metal, joining methods, and crash/durability requirements is essential, with preferred knowledge in CATIA V5.
