Job Description
The company is looking for a Project Engineer to join their Hazard Mitigation Section. This role involves providing technical guidance on generator projects and reviewing construction plans for various mitigation efforts like home elevations. You'll also assess project feasibility, estimate costs, and ensure safety requirements are met.
A key part of this position is assisting with cost-benefit analyses for FEMA grants, determining if projects are economically viable and suggesting alternatives if needed. You'll also be responsible for documenting project issues, recommendations, and conducting final site walk-throughs for project closure.
This opportunity is ideal for an Electrical Engineer with a strong understanding of power distribution systems, relevant NFPA standards, and building codes. A PE license in North Carolina or the ability to obtain one is highly desirable.
If you're ready to contribute to North Carolina's resilience, explore this role further.
