Job Description
This company in Kolkata is looking for a Design Engineer to join their team. You'll be involved in the entire design process, from initial concepts and prototyping to final production-ready designs. This role requires managing projects to meet deadlines and budgets, while also implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
You'll collaborate closely with various departments to ensure all design requirements are met and stay updated on industry advancements through research and development. The position also involves creating 3D CAD models and handling all related documentation, including DFMEA and PPAP. You'll present design proposals, costs, and progress updates to senior management and customers, and provide essential technical support to manufacturing, sales, and customer service teams.
The ideal candidate will have a B-Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a Masters in Product Management, with 3 to 8 years of experience in heavy engineering. Experience with new product introductions, design changes, team management, testing, and prototyping is also important.
