Job Description
The company is looking for a Process Safety / Refrigeration Engineer to join their team in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This role involves supporting process hazard analyses and the safe design of ammonia and CO2 refrigeration systems for clients in the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and industrial biotechnology sectors. You'll be involved in planning and facilitating risk assessments, developing Process Safety Management programs, and conducting site inspections.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in process safety or industrial refrigeration. Familiarity with refrigeration systems, relevant codes and standards, and the ability to read PFDs and P&IDs are essential. Strong technical writing and communication skills are also key.
