Job Description
The company is looking for a Fire Protection Designer in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This role involves designing fire protection systems, primarily sprinkler systems. You'll be responsible for analyzing contract documents, creating precise plans and schematics using Revit or AutoCAD, and performing hydraulic calculations.
You will also produce material lists and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and building codes. Collaboration with various trades and internal teams is key to coordinating the sprinkler system piping and maintaining quality assurance. Occasional site surveys may also be part of the job.
This position is ideal for someone with a building drafting diploma, a mechanical engineering degree, or equivalent experience, and at least 3 years in fire protection. Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit and strong French and English communication skills are essential.
