Job Description
The company is looking for a Mechanical Simulation & Design Architect to join their R&D team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. This role involves leading the design and development of advanced mechanical systems for next-generation medical devices. You'll be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and optimizing these systems, using CAD software for 3D modeling and detailed drawings.
A key part of this position is conducting simulations using FEA and CFD to identify potential flaws before manufacturing. You will also be involved in testing designs for stress, strain, fatigue, and thermal performance, and selecting appropriate materials based on various factors including biocompatibility and cost. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs, will be essential to transform innovative concepts into market-ready medical solutions.
To be successful, you should have 8-12 years of experience in medical device design and development, with expertise in CAD software like SolidWorks or CreO, and simulation tools such as ANSYS or COMSOL. A strong understanding of medical device regulations, standards, and material selection for medical applications is also required.
