Job Description
This role involves reviewing building permit applications to ensure they meet all necessary requirements, including plans and compliance with the Ontario Building Code. You'll be examining submissions and recommending approval or rejection, ensuring projects adhere to provincial standards.
The position also includes conducting site inspections to verify compliance and enforcing bylaws related to property standards, cross-connection control, and signage. This is an 18-month contract opportunity.
To be successful, you'll need a relevant college diploma and specific certifications such as CBCO, along with qualifications in House, Small Buildings, HVAC, Plumbing, On-site Septic, and Legal. A strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code and related legislation, plus at least three years of experience, is essential.
