Job Description
The company is looking for a Senior Architect to join their team in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This role focuses on designing and delivering critical infrastructure for the Defence sector, working on significant national projects. You'll manage architectural teams, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure designs meet BIM standards.
You'll be responsible for producing construction drawings, managing project meetings, and conducting quality checks. The role also involves researching materials and technologies, managing consultants, and communicating with clients. Financial oversight and ensuring projects meet cost, quality, and schedule targets are key aspects, as is occasional travel to remote First Nation communities.
To be successful, you should be a registered architect in Ontario with at least 7 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with provincial and national standards, BIM principles, Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam is essential. Experience with Defence Construction Canada (DCC) and Department of National Defence (DND) projects, along with bilingual proficiency and the ability to obtain a security clearance, would be a strong asset.
