Job Description
The company is looking for an Electrical BIM Modeler in Richmond, Virginia. This role is key to their Virtual Design and Construction process, focusing on creating accurate digital models of electrical systems. You'll be working with Revit to model conduit, cable trays, and electrical equipment, ensuring everything is coordinated and clash-free for prefabrication and field installation.
You'll also be responsible for setting up views, managing Revit schedules, and creating shop drawings. A significant part of the job involves using Navisworks for clash detection and participating in coordination meetings to resolve spatial conflicts. The goal is to support the prefab and construction teams with precise model data.
This opportunity requires at least two years of experience with Revit and Navisworks, ideally with some background in electrical construction or drafting. Familiarity with electrical components and NEC code is also beneficial.
