Job Description
The company is looking for a Tekla Modeler to join their team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This role involves developing detailed 3D structural models for offshore wind components and fabrication projects. You'll be responsible for creating accurate models of jackets, topsides, transition pieces, foundations, and steel structures, ensuring they align with approved drawings and design inputs.
Your responsibilities will include generating fabrication and general arrangement drawings, as well as single part and assembly drawings directly from Tekla models. You'll also prepare essential documentation like bolt lists and weld details according to project standards. A key part of the job is extracting accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and Material Take-Offs (MTO) from the models and performing quantity checks.
This position requires close coordination with design engineers, project teams, QA/QC, and fabrication teams to ensure models are clash-free and all interface issues are resolved proactively. You'll also be incorporating client comments, design changes, and site feedback into the models.
